Who is behind the Shopify ecosystem playbook?
The Playbook is a joint project of Latori GmbH and Hyghstreet (formerly beeclever) - two of the most experienced Shopify agencies in the German-speaking world. As the first two certified Shopify Premier Partners, we bring over 13 years of hands-on experience with Shopify and provide deep insights into the growing ecosystem around the leading commerce platform.
Which Shopify partners are represented in the playbook?
We didn't write the playbook alone. Eight selected partners - including Shopify itself - have their say in guest contributions. On over 50 pages, leading technology providers share their expertise, best practices and recommendations for merchants who rely on Shopify or are planning to make the switch. Among the contributors are: Klar!, 8returns, Descartes pixi, Klaviyo, Pickware, gorgias and Battery Included.
What is the Shopify ecosystem?
The Shopify ecosystem refers to the extensive network of tools, services, integrations and partners that together support and extend the Shopify platform. It includes a variety of features and solutions that enable companies to efficiently design and scale their e-commerce operations.
Shopify platform
Shopify's software is at the heart of the ecosystem. It offers a user-friendly interface that - at least in the basic tariff - requires hardly any technical know-how for implementation. Shopify is scalable, flexible and suitable for companies of all sizes.

Each app undergoes an extensive review process to ensure that it meets Shopify's high quality standards. This huge selection enables store operators to customize their online stores exactly to their individual requirements and efficiently optimize their business processes.

Shopify marketing apps: marketing made easy
Shopify offers several marketing tools to help you implement your marketing strategy. We have summarized the best ones for you:
1. Shopify Email
Shopify Email is Shopify's native email marketing tool and allows merchants to create and send professional newsletters and campaigns directly from the Shopify admin. With ready-made, customizable templates in the store design, simple segmentation and direct integration into the product catalog, a targeted email campaign can be launched in just a few minutes.
2. Shopify Flow
Shopify Flow is Shopify's automation tool that allows you to control recurring processes using a modular principle of triggers, conditions and actions without any programming. Whether automatic customer segmentation, stock alerts or notifications - Flow saves time, reduces manual tasks and promotes sustainable growth.
3. Shopify Forms
Shopify Forms enables the structured collection of contact data using customizable forms. These can be used for purposes such as newsletter registrations, product notifications or discount campaigns. New contacts are automatically transferred to the email marketing tool for further processing. Examples include discount vouchers for first-time visitors, registration forms for restock notifications or input masks for pre-orders. Shopify Forms is available worldwide.
4. Shopify Inbox
Shopify Inbox bundles customer inquiries from live chat, Facebook Messenger and Instagram in a central tool, making it easier to communicate with store visitors in person. In addition to direct communication, it also supports automated messages and quick replies - for example for welcome messages, frequently asked questions or product recommendations based on the shopping cart.
Shopify strategy: the right tech stack is crucial
Shopify is a powerful e-commerce platform - but only with the right tech stack can it become a scalable and future-proof business model. The tech stack comprises all the tools and systems that drive the online store: from design, marketing and customer service to logistics and analysis.
A well-coordinated setup ensures automation, efficient processes and a strong customer experience. Scalable systems can cope with growth, automated processes save time and smart marketing tools such as Klaviyo or loyalty programs strengthen customer loyalty.
At the same time, modern analysis tools provide reliable data for well-founded decisions. In short: Shopify is the foundation - the tech stack is the operating system that enables long-term success in digital commerce.

Our Shopify Playbook makes it easier for you to get started in the world of the Shopify ecosystem - compact, practical and strategically prepared.
