We are a close-knit team of Shopify experts from a variety of nationalities and backgrounds. Not only do we have a high level of e-commerce expertise, but we are also open and friendly with each other.
The Latori team is internationally distributed and works remotely with ease. The majority of us are based at our headquarters in Wuppertal, near Düsseldorf. But no matter where we work, our expertise in shop setup, shop design, programming and marketing enables us to pursue our mission: to make e-commerce as easy as possible for our merchants.
Our drive
Latori was born out of a project of our own. Our current founders and managing directors Jan and Natascha Laußmann wanted to open their own online store. They chose Shopify. As the Canadian store system was not yet optimally prepared for the German market 10 years ago, the two had to adapt their Shopify store themselves and optimise it with their own programming. Word spread quickly and the demand for custom online stores grew rapidly for the two Shopify programmers.
What started as a two-person project is now an established Shopify agency with over 40 Shopify experts. However, our mission has remained the same - to take the creation of online stores into our own hands and turn individual wishes into reality. In doing so, we make our clients' e-commerce businesses easier, better and more sustainable. We manage shops for international companies as well as D2C brands in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Transparency and communication are important to us, not only with our colleagues, but also with our clients. That's why we offer regular status calls and always keep in touch with the status of the project.

Our history
2012
Latori was founded by Jan Laußmann and Natascha Torres Ripoll in Wuppertal. In addition to programming, we also run our online shop - on Shopify, of course.
Nowadays
2025 has already been a year full of milestones for us: As one of the first Shopify Premier Partner agencies in the DACH region, we were recognized as a leading agency by Shopify itself.
With Elizabeth Duck, we have also gained an experienced COO to support our founders Jan and Natascha Laußmann and drive our growth forward in a targeted manner.
2024
We were at K5 - for the first time with our own stand to represent Shopify in Berlin. We realized the booth design in cooperation with Latori customer Krombacher! Visitors were able to learn all about Shopify in a relaxed atmosphere and with a cold beer. We were also able to take to the big stage together with HUNTER to talk about the headless implementation of the online store.
2023
Hard work is rewarded: As part of the Shop Usability Awards 2023, 3 of our customers were honoured with the Shop Usability Award for their outstanding online stores. And that's not all: Latori was also voted Agency of the Year! We are incredibly proud of this award and would like to thank the organisers and the entire Latori team.
2022
We are celebrating 10 years of Latori! We would like to thank our loyal customers and the great team for their loyalty, cooperation and outstanding performance.
2021
The Latori team continues to grow - mostly from the home office. The team is becoming increasingly international. Whether from Germany, Latvia, Slovenia or Turkey - the collaboration works. After all, we all speak the same language: Shopify .
2020
A virus is taking over the world - including us. We are working from home. A challenge that our team has mastered perfectly!
2019
Experience pays off: After 7 years of Shopify experience, we become the 1st official Shopify Plus agency in the DACH region. We also open our 2nd office in Munich.
2018
We broaden our horizons: Latori becomes an official Salesforce Consulting Partner and enters the Salesforce development market.
2017
A UG becomes a GmbH. Latori takes the next step and can now call itself Latori GmbH. Sounds much nicer, doesn't it?
2016
Latori becomes a training company! The big dream of training our own specialists comes true. The first trainees will start in summer 2016.
2015
Latori grows - and moves again! In a very short time, a two-person company has become a real agency. Together with new employees, we move to a larger office with enough space for everyone.
2014
Latori is moving! In order to professionalise our small agency, we have rented our own office. Here we can continue our growth.
2013
We receive numerous requests from other Shopify merchants and programming Shopify stores becomes our main business. We say goodbye to our online store to focus on development.
