Markenkoffer, an established provider of high-quality suitcases and luggage, has successfully gone live on Shopify Plus. The project included the complete migration from Oxid to Shopify Plus, improvements to the theme, the development of individual solutions to map the complex product structure and the connection to the Akeneo PIM system.

Implementation
The project team assisted Markenkoffer with the successful migration from Oxid to Shopify Plus - including data transfer, system setup and individual theme customization.
A central component was the development of a customized variant picker, which is used on both the product detail page and the collection page. Based on the customer's existing code, the solution was technically expanded and integrated into the new theme. At the request of Markenkoffer, the Variant Selector was designed in such a way that the individual variants are displayed as small preview images - for the most intuitive and visual product selection possible. The implementation was mainly carried out in the theme using metafields and metafield objects.
In addition, Akeneo was successfully connected as a central PIM system, making the management and maintenance of the extensive product data much more efficient. This interface enables the automated and consistent transfer of product information to the Shopify store.
With the new Shopify Plus setup and the integrated PIM solution, Markenkoffer is now optimally positioned for growth, scalability and efficient processes.
