The year 2021 is done and despite the ongoing pandemic it was a turbulent, successful and exciting one for Latori. Not only were we able to welcome some new members to our team and finally fully expand our location in Munich, but we also worked with outstanding companies again to perfectly prepare them for future growth with Shopify and Shopify Plus shops.

Outdoorchef, a company that sells gas kettle grills online, approached Latori in 2021 as a hot customer who wanted to showcase itself in its niche market with a Shopify Plus shop. The online shop offers barbecues and accessories, makes operating and assembly instructions quickly findable and enables an on-site dealer search so that customers can find their way around perfectly. The online shop was also nominated for the Shop Usability Award in 2021.
With Live Fast Die Young (LFDY for short), a successful fashion brand was added in 2021 that appeals to a young, urban target group. In order to meet this target group, the Latori team migrated the Shopware shop to Shopify Plus and made it mobile-first. In order to accommodate familiar patterns such as the scrolling behaviour of the target group, the online shop is strongly oriented towards functionalities that are otherwise familiar from social media channels such as Instagram. Other programming such as colour change options on the detail pages were also implemented by Latori.
With each new collection, the fashion brand records a strong increase in traffic and thousands of simultaneous accesses, which is why a fail-safe shop had to be established with Shopify Plus and now enables a smooth user experience in the future.

The Latori team carried out another migration at ASPHALTGOLD and moved the former Magento shop to Shopify Plus. The relaunch took place in July 2021. Asphaltgold has been one of the best-known German sneaker retailers in the German region since 2008 and is an active part of the scene with both a retail shop and its own online shop. The sneaker retailer also needed a Raffle app for online sales in order to be able to raffle off the right to buy limited and particularly sought-after sneakers to those willing to buy them. The Shopify team took on the programming for this additional Shopify function and worked closely with the OK Future agency, which is developing the matching smartphone app.

Anyone who actively follows the german TV show "Die Höhle der Löwen" will have heard of GetSteps. The start-up, founded in 2019, makes it possible to have orthopaedic shoe insoles made and ordered quickly and easily from home. To do this, customers make impressions of their feet in their own homes with a set sent to them beforehand, send them back to the start-up and receive suitable insoles for their shoes to promote body health.
The Latori team developed an online shop with Shopify that was able to absorb the traffic generated by the TV show and is also designed for the future growth of the brand.
Cookies that are set on websites or online shops and are not absolutely necessary for the function of the site require the consent of the user. This obligation has been clearly confirmed by the highest courts ECJ and BGH. Since the setting of cookies is only permitted after consent has been given and Shopify itself does not offer a function for this, UserCentrics has found a solution for this. UserCentrics has been one of the leading consent management platforms since 2017 and ensures that websites and online shops can operate within the legal framework.

An online shop for cars? The e.GO brand uses its shop not so much for the direct sale of electric cars, but rather for passing on information and booking test drives. The Latori team was also able to help build the e.Go Sales Cockpit - a B2B shop complete with configurator for sales partners of the innovative car brand.
